Message from the 2008 Susan G. Komen Richmond Race Co-Chairs

We would like to take this opportunity to say a sincere "Thank you" to all of you who came out to participate, volunteer and support the 11th Annual Susan G. Komen Richmond Race For The Cure on May 10. By all accounts, the Race was a resounding success at our new location at Kanawha Plaza.

The weather held up long enough for us to have an amazing race, celebrate our survivors, remember those that we've lost to this disease and to support Komen's vision of a world without breast cancer. The day wouldn't have been possible without the dedicated support of hundreds of volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the year to make this day successful. To each of them, we say a big "Thank you" for their generous gift of time. To those of you who willingly opened up your wallets to help us raise over a million dollars, we humbly thank you. To our sponsors, we thank you for your steadfast support. Finally, to the 9,800 race participants - THANK YOU for helping us make this truly an AMAZING race.

We hope to see you next year on May 9th, 2009 for the 12th Annual Susan G. Komen Richmond Race For The Cure!
